More images from Scott Schuman, aka “The Sartorialist”. I love the second woman’s short haircut. The first woman’s blue headband is a really nice detail. Both have great fur collars.

Gerry Judah - Paintings (2005-12)

“Judah’s paintings are a direct response to conflict across the globe, and the impact of that violence, whether it is the consequence of war or natural disaster. At the same time, he is fascinated by changing urban landscape, and his paintings explore the dynamic of construction and destruction.

His apocalyptic settlements constructed from scores of buildings, complete with internal structures, communications and water towers are fixed onto canvas, and then systematically destroyed. The ensuing rubble and detritus are scattered and fused onto a background of empty white canvas with layers of acrylic gesso to create silent ‘white on white’ abstract paintings.”

Saul Bass Game of Thrones — Fro Design Company

“I thought the best way to pay tribute to Saul Bass would be to take a shot at adapting his iconic style to something modern. Specifically I took a shot in the dark as to what a Saul Bass Game of Thrones poster may have looked like. Each poster commemorates one of Saul Bass’ frequent collaborators Otto Preminger, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchock, and John Frankenheimer. Each with visual cues to some of Bass’s most iconic works. This also opened the door to envisioning what a Hitchcock/Kubrick/Preminger/ Frankenheimer adaptation may have been, so each print comes complete with prospective cast and crew info at the bottom.”
